The green plastic tree
It's that time of the year again! The big green plastic tree has reappeared from the black hole in the ceiling, and has been covered with lights and lots of dangly things for us cats to play with. These days Geoff wires the top of the tree to the ceiling, because a few years ago Tansy came up with a new game - jump from the top of the TV to a dangly thing near the top of the tree. Unfortunately she bought the whole thing crashing to the floor. Twice. For some unexplained reason, Linda was not best pleased - dunno why.
A good game the humans play sometime soon is creating a big mound of torn coloured paper for us to play with, followed by loads of turkey.

Brrrrr
Stuff me, it's getting chilly again! As rightly
befits the only male cat in the household, I have laid claim to snoozing on
top of the log basket by the front door. It's right by a radiator, and happens
to be a superb vantage point as I can see right up the hallway and right up
the stairs to see who's coming and going - so I can be on patrol and snooze
at the same time! If I was any more clever, I'd be twins!
I must admit it does have its downside, - every time the postman delivers
I get showered with letters. I'm sure Geoff orders those books from Amazon
just to annoy me.
Buns in the oven
There seems to have been some baking going on recently, 'cos Geoff & Linda keep mentioning people with buns in the oven, and have asked me to offer congratulations on their behalf. Why these people go to all the bother of doing their own baking is completely beyond a handsome cat like me, 'cos you can buy a pack of six buns in Sainsbury's for 99p. Anyway Linda's delighted cos her cousin Warren and his wife Tamara have a bun in the oven, and Geoff's cousin Melissa who had a bun, has now got a lovely baby girl called Natasha instead.
What a load of fuss over some food. Now, if they were all having human kittens it would be different...

Some visitors to my home
Some recent visitors to my household include Linda's sister Mary (who Tansy scores 8/10 for lap comfort), and Linda's Aunt Gwen (also 8) and Uncle Bill (untested). It seems that Gwen and Bill come from this Canada place (see below). Now Geoff (4, but we tell him 9) has mentioned that they live on the other side of the pond - but I think he must have been overdoing the Guinness again, 'cos I took a stroll into the Garden today and had a good look at the other side of the pond, and there's no place there where Gwen and Bill could live at all.
