Sadly, Tansy passed away at home on January 21st 2007 after a great life. She had been ill with a thyroid problem, a heart murmur, and in her last two months, suffered from digestive problems. She was one of a kind and will be sorely missed.

Tansy the tabby is (the late) Sorrel's sister. She's as thick as two short planks. And then some. But she's really affectionate - she loves to jump up and lie on your lap, especially when you're trying to read the newspaper.

Tanz likes warmth, - when the central heating is on, she sleeps on a window ledge above a radiator with her nose just half an inch away. In the summer she loves to sleeps in the greenhouse - the hotter the better. No sense - no feeling.

Tansy probably hopes to go to Hell when she dies 'cos it's nice and hot, - but she'd never get in as she's too nice!

Being full of the social graces, Tanz will bolt her food down, and then throw up a few minutes later, usually on a window ledge or over the laser printer.

For years she seldom miaowed aloud, but just mimed - her mouth opened and closed, but nothing came out (except for the food), but after her sister Sorrel died, there's no keeping her quiet. She's found her voice - and how!

In August 2004, Tansy was joint runner up in the Acorn Vets "Funniest Furry" photo competition. She sleeps in some daft places, - here she is waking up after a snooze in a flower pot - and it was this photo that the Acorn Staff Children put in joint second place in the competition. Well done Tanz!
